This is a simple macOS menu bar application that shows you the lyrics of current playing spotify track. All the lyricses are from Wikia website. (for now!)

Installation

You can grab the DMG file of the application from the releases. The installation is as easy as opening DMG file and dragging the application file to your Applications folder.

Disclaimer

This application works by scrapping public data from websites. This looks like simulating user actions in a web browser. Unfortunately, using a scrapper to fetch data from some websites may violate their terms.

Please note that it's all your responsibility to use this app.

    This is the initial release of Lyricsify for macOS. The app is compatible with macOS >= 10.11.

    This release contains the minimum features as listed below:

    1. Getting current playing track artist and name from Spotify if it's running.
    2. Get the lyrics of that track and shows it in the menubar popover if the lyrics exist in Wikia.
    3. Track the changes of the Spotify now playing and get the lyrics of new track as described.
