I have rewritten Actions from the ground up to use App Intents. Actions should now be faster, but there may be bugs.

This Scan QR Code from Image will enable us to scan any QR codes from Photo albums and from Share Extension.

I'd like to be able to have a shortcut that can do the following:

I have selected a file or folder in both the Finder or Path Finder apps. I want to be able to use a shortcut to open the file or folder with the given app (for example, the app Meta). This global shortcut would need to be connected to this action (and given app). I can't find this shortcut anywhere.

For testing purposes, I ran this action with a PNG image (created from a PDF file) that contains a QR code encoding transferal data for an invoice. The action produces an empty output.

To verify, I used a Python script that wraps the zxing-cpp library. This correctly detects the QR code and outputs the encoded data

An action that allows for natural language calculations, as found in Soulver 3 and Toolbox Pro (currently only on iOS and iPadOS).

For example, the action would take text input like "$10 for lunch + 15% tip" and produce "$11.50" as the result.

The mostly deceased ToolboxPro app runs a query on books.google.com through this api: https://developers.google.com/books/docs/v1/using it then created an object in the shortcuts world stocked with a bunch of details (author(s), title, category, description, ISBN, ...).

Since the app is clearly dead, I would like to replicate its functionality. I will even learn to play with XCode if this made a usefyl difference.

It’s been a small pet peeve of mine that the Authenticate action requires you to open a URL. This is a small fix that I have seen in Toolbox Pro, but I would like for my users to install as little dependencies as possible.

Use case: I live in San Fransisco and frequently use a bike sharing program called Bay Wheels. However, the bike racks are sometimes hard to spot, and when biking to a new destination it's hard to know if you should stop at the first rack you see (even if it's farther away) or continue biking in the hope there's a rack closer.

Apple Maps lists Bay Wheels bike racks, so it's possible to get directions to a rack. I'd like to make a shortcut that given a destination finds the closest bike rack to it and starts directions to the rack.

Although there's a way to search for something around a location within a given radius, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to just get the closest [thing] to a location.

Some workarounds are discussed here, but they're all rather clunky.

If this is something you're interested in supporting, I'm happy to work towards a PR for it.

When I am connected to Wi-Fi, I want a list of devices on my network so I can connect to them, I wanted to build a shortcut that would get a list of all devices in my network and control them using SSH commands. This would also be useful when your local ip address changes and for whatever reason you can not assign a static one. There are apps that do this (Fing, iNet) but they do not seem to provide an action for this.
