Usage

Add an emoji badge:

  YourTabBarController.addDotAtTabBarItemIndex(index: 0, radius: 10, text : "👏🏻")

Add a colored dot badge:

    YourTabBarController.addDotAtTabBarItemIndex(index: 0, radius: 7, color : UIColor.blue)

Remove badge:

  YourTabBarController.removeDotAtTabBarItemIndex(index: 0)

Installation

SuperBadges is available through CocoaPods. To install it, simply add the following line to your Podfile:

pod "SuperBadges"

    Issue when UITabBarItem's title is positioned next to image

    In general I was wondering if you still maintain this repository? I tried your approach and found that it only works for tab bar items that got their caption underneath as you're relying on the middle of the tab bar item to position the indicator/badge.

    I'd suggest an approach where the indicator/badge would be positioned based on the actual position of the image within the tab bar item. Would be interested in accepting pull requests to fix this issue?

    Refactor to fix positioning on landscape/tablet

    The current implementation relies on the fact that the tab bar caption is located underneath the image, in order to position the indicator correctly (basically positioning the indicator above the complete tab bar).

    This PR changes this behavior and directly attaches the indicator relative to the image view itself in order to preserve the correct positioning.
